Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Consultant in Adult Psychiatry with community experience to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality psychiatric care to adults in community settings. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to improving the mental health outcomes of individuals while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and provide evidence-based treatment to adult patients in community settings.
2. Develop and implement individualized care plans in consultation with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
3. Lead and support multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and holistic care delivery.
4. Provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to junior medical staff, including psychiatrists in training.
5. Participate in clinical governance activities, including audits, quality improvement initiatives, and risk management.
6. Engage in regular liaison with primary care providers, social services, and other community agencies to facilitate seamless transitions of care.
Requirements:
7. Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
8. Specialist registration in Psychiatry with the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
9. Substantial experience working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in adult mental health services, with a focus on community psychiatry.
10. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
11. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
12. Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
