In this role, you will manage the daily processing and execution of transactional activities, collaborating closely with team members. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with meticulous attention to detail, are essential for success. You should have experience in optimising accounts payable and receivable processes, a solid understanding of the transactional lifecycle — including ordering, purchasing, receiving, payment, and accounting for goods and services—and the ability to raise invoices and reconcile accounts effectively. Main responsibilities of the role include: The Transactional Finance Assistant will support the finance team by managing day-to-day transactional tasks, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial documents. This role will involve working with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. Accounts Payable: Process invoices Confirm Deliveries and perform Goods Receipts Maintain the Purchase Log Ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers Supplier Account Maintenance GR/IR Reconciliation Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Any other tasks as allocated by the Transactional Finance Manager Accounts Receivable: Process customer invoices and receipts Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up as necessary Assist in preparing monthly aging reports Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations Assist in the implementation of process improvements What you’ll need to do the role: Qualification in finance, business or a related field or have equivalent experience. Previous experience in transactional finance or accounting roles (1-2 years). Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (working knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 would be advantageous). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal. Preferred: Experience in operating within heavily regulated and compliant environments. Background in contract management. Additional / Special features of the role: To excel in this role, you will need: Accounting and Finance Knowledge: A strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations and compliance is essential. You should be capable of managing payables and payments while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all transactions.
