Vacancy to cover maternity leave, would consider secondment or fixed term contract for 12 months, commencing December 2024.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone wishing to increase their knowledge of medical staffing across the organisation, and gain a greater understanding of medical rostering, processes and systems.
You should have previous knowledge and experience of rota design, have excellent organisational skills with the ability to work of your own initiative and think calmly and logically under pressure. You should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a positive attitude to maintaining high standards at all times.
• In conjunction with department leads and Rota Co-ordinators create resident doctor working patterns whilst ensuring compliance with Doctors in Training Contract and EWTD rules on working hours.
• Develop and maintain appropriate protocols and processes to ensure that all resident doctors working patterns and templates are created in line with national guidance and Trust policy and procedures.
• Update, publish and issue Work Schedules or working patterns to resident doctors as per the Code of Practice and Trust policy and procedures.
• Ensure Medical Recruitment Advisors are advised in advance of any pattern/work schedule changes, ensuring any changes effecting pay is highlighted.
• Update doctor in training rotation lists and rotational amendment spreadsheet where required.
• Assist the Medical Workforce Manager with rotational ESR changes.
• Responsible for ensuring the allocate systems and organisational database are up to date with all starters and leavers and reconciles with ESR.
• Implementation of process for adding new employees to the system and ensure departmental information is up to date.
• Assist where required with access to e-rota, e-Job Plan, e-appraisal and e-360.
• First point of contact with Allocate Support team in relation to any e-rota System issues that arise on a daily basis.
• Responsibility for liaising with Medical Workforce Manager to agree and make any changes to the establishment, structure and activity settings on e-rota.
