About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Head Chef to lead the culinary team at our Lloyds Banking Group Tredegar Park location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing daily menus that showcase the best of seasonal ingredients and exceed customer expectations.
In this role, you will work closely with our catering manager to ensure that all business targets and budgets are achieved. This includes planning and preparing menus that meet client and customer expectations, managing kitchen finances, and overseeing the preparation of food to the highest standard.
As a leader, you will also be responsible for coaching and developing your team, building strong customer and client relationships, and maintaining a professional and friendly image with our clients and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan menus that are in line with client and customer expectations.
* Ensure that budgetary targets are achieved on site by demonstrating a strong understanding of GP, GP%, selling price, cost price, margin, mark up, and calculation of menu costs through recipes.
* Prepare and oversee all preparation of food to the highest standard, ensuring minimal wastage and that food is seasonal and where possible sourced locally.
* Responsible for undertaking weekly and monthly stock takes and to coordinate stock ordering for the operation.
* Understand and comply with Company and statutory health, hygiene, and safety, quality standards including COSHH and HACCP.
* Manage, coach, and develop the kitchen team.
* Seek customer feedback during service and use the information to develop the food and food service offering in the relevant site.
* Maintain a professional and friendly image with the client and customers.
* Work effectively with all colleagues to ensure excellent customer service.
