Management Accounts Assistant Location: Hackney Salary: £21 per hour Full-Time Position MUST HAVE AN ENHANCED DBS Purpose of the Job: To assist the Head of Management Accounts in delivering monthly budget meetings, management accounts, cashflow analysis, and the annual budget planning process. Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.Specific Responsibilities: Assist in collating numeric data for monthly management accounts under the guidance of the Head of Management Accounts. Maintain reconciliations for allocated income streams, ensuring monthly adjustments are made to accurately record income. Contribute to the annual budgeting process and long-term financial forecasting. Upload and maintain the annual budget within the Accounting System. Ensure that delegation limits are aligned with the annual budget and amend as necessary. Meet regularly with budget holders, representing the finance team professionally. Provide clear advice and training to non-finance colleagues to improve financial understanding and confidence. Assist in developing accurate and timely reporting for all levels of the business. Conduct monthly transaction monitoring to ensure accuracy and completeness. Monitor accruals and prepayments, including monthly reconciliation. Support the Head of Management Accounts in driving business performance through financial insight and efficiency. Assist in compiling information for external stakeholders. Support the year-end Financial Audit process. Help document processes, identify improvements, and assist with their implementation. Assist in producing and developing cashflow forecasts. Train and support non-financial users on finance systems and processes. Contribute to promotional events and general office ad-hoc duties as required.Person Specification: Strong communication skills with the ability to develop working relationships with non-finance colleagues. Ideally part-qualified in accounting or have significant recent relevant experience. Ability to meet deadlines consistently. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Accounting Systems and the ability to build and amend reports. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
