Internal Controls IT Analyst

The Internal Controls IT Analyst is responsible for the monitoring, testing and continuous improvement of the controls across systems and processes. Additionally, this role will work directly with the IT Internal Controls Manager in ensuring the long-term Internal IT Controls plan is implemented in line with timelines. The incumbent will always ensure that the finance systems team applies an effective, pragmatic, compliant and value-based ethical culture in all business processes and relationships.
This role will provide you the opportunity to play a key role in driving the improvements to the Internal Control IT environment and play a dynamic part in finance transformation projects.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
* Working with management to ensure IT controls are designed appropriately and emerging risks are mitigated;
* Key member of project teams to ensure IT controls are appropriately considered and built into any new process or change area;
* Assist with remediation alignment and implementation of external system related audit control points;
* Help the Internal Controls IT Manager to drive the implementation of the Internal Controls 3 year IT plan;
* Management / Maintenance of the AuditBoard platform;
* Work with Information Security to ensure alignment on IT security related controls;
* Assist business users in resolving control issues related to IT as they occur and develop updated control frameworks to document the updated processes;
* Support investigations that have system related control impacts (i.e. Fraud).
Experience/Qualifications:
* Relevant professional qualification (i.e., CISA) and 2+ years post qualification experience;
* Experience and understanding of design and implementation of internal General IT Controls (GITC) within an international environment;
* Experience and understanding of the measurement of effectiveness of internal GITC;
* An understanding of the internal IT control priorities from a PE perspective and ability to quantify, communicate and manage internal IT control risks;
* Ability to balance the requirements from a control perspective and business needs;
* Willingness to learn and can-do attitude;
* Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment – resilience and flexibility is key;
* Strong attention to detail;
* Deadline focussed and willing to put in the effort required to ensure they are always met;
* Ability to quickly and effectively build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
