This is a really exciting time for Thanet District Council’s Tenant and Leaseholder Services, as we embark on a £40 million refurbishment and retrofit project for our tower blocks. This project will improve both building safety and energy efficiency for 406 households, in addition to reducing carbon emissions. It is a highly complex project due to the nature of the buildings, using multiple funding streams and requiring compliance with the new Building Safety Act. We need an experienced project manager who has proven their ability to work on projects from inception to completion. They will be able to deliver within tight deadlines and budget, work collaboratively and own exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will need to have previous experience of working closely with cons- Towultants and contractors. Contract Type - Two-year fixed-term contract. We are looking for a project manager who can problem solve under pressure, be able to foresee risks and mitigate them and be able to manage their own workload whilst assisting the wider project team. Residents must be kept at the heart of this project. As we commence this work and install new technologies, there will be much disruption. Our project team needs to ensure meaningful engagement with the residents and ensure all voices are heard throughout the process. If you are passionate about engaging with people and getting large projects over the line then we want to hear from you. If you have experience of delivering refurbishment works or retrofit measures to increase energy efficiency, this would be advantageous, but is not essential. If you would like further information or an informal discussion about this position, please contact Oscar Ruben by email: oscar.rubenthanet.gov.uk Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check as part of their pre-employment checks.
