The Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), Department of Neonatology is seeking pediatricians for full-time, part-time, or per diem neonatal hospitalist positions. These positions include primary clinical responsibilities in the newborn units and delivery room at Cambridge Hospital with opportunities to teach Harvard Medical School students, as well as rotation through its tertiary affiliate, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Cambridge Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, is part of the Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) network, a vibrant, innovative health system, based in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston's Metro North region, and dedicated to providing essential services to all members of the community, especially diverse and vulnerable patients. Its perinatal program includes 1200 deliveries per year and a level IB licensed neonatal unit.
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a tertiary patient care and academic affiliate of Harvard Medical School, currently ranks third in National Institutes of Health funding among independent hospitals nationwide. The perinatal program includes 5,200 deliveries per year with an active high-risk maternal-fetal medicine service, a 48-bed level III NICU, and a well-established multi-disciplinary care model with a family care focus.
The successful candidate should be board certified or an active candidate for board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics. Graduating fellows and junior faculty are encouraged to apply. Salary and academic rank at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
