About the Art Department: The Art and Design department is a collaborative and inspiring team with a shared commitment to fostering students' creativity and artistic development. We encourage students to explore their own artistic styles and develop their technical skills through practical projects and exhibitions. About the Role: Teach Art and Design across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching A Level Art depending on experience and interest. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including demonstrations, workshops, and gallery visits, to inspire students' creativity and artistic expression. Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Art and Design curriculum remains relevant and challenging. Foster a love of Art in students, encouraging them to explore different art forms and develop their own artistic voice. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Art education. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Art and Design. Demonstrates a passion for teaching Art and a commitment to student success. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Art and Design. Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
