Xplore Group are currently looking for experienced Data Analyst to join our company based in, Bolton, Greater Manchester. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst with expertise in Machine Learning Studio, Hive, Tableau, and Python to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to identify patterns and trends. Additionally, experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations is crucial for this role. You will work closely with other teams to develop forecasts, predictions, and actionable insights related to market trends.
The qualifying candidate must be professional, self- motivated, physically fit and have an excellent work ethic. Prior experience within the shipbuilding sector is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Data Collection & Analysis:
o Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from diverse sources including transactional data, customer data, and other relevant databases.
o Identify patterns and trends within datasets, and present findings through reports and visualizations.
o Develop data models to assess business performance and predict future market trends.
• Machine Learning & Predictive Analytics:
o Build and deploy machine learning models using Machine Learning Studio and Python to forecast future trends and market behavior.
o Develop algorithms to analyze AML/KYC-related data, improving the detection of suspicious activities and ensuring regulatory compliance.
o Continuously refine models based on new data and industry developments.
• Reporting & Visualization:
o Use Tableau to create dynamic, interactive dashboards and reports to provide clear insights to stakeholders.
o Translate complex data into actionable insights, assisting in decision-making processes and strategy formulation.
o Provide regular performance reports and updates on key trends, forecasts, and business KPIs.
• AML/KYC Compliance:
o Work closely with compliance teams to ensure data analysis aligns with AML/KYC regulations and industry standards.
o Develop and implement data-driven strategies to detect, monitor, and mitigate risks related to financial crimes and customer identity fraud.
o Support the automation of AML/KYC processes through data insights and predictive analytics.
• Collaboration & Communication:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data requirements and goals are aligned with organizational objectives.
o Present findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable way.
o Provide recommendations based on data insights to drive strategic decisions and improve business operations.

o In-depth understanding of AML and KYC regulations and their impact on data analysis in the financial industry.
o Experience in analyzing AML/KYC datasets for potential fraud detection, risk analysis, and compliance monitoring.
