The Role:
We are seeking driven, care-focused, and well-organised individuals with a love for providing exceptional customer service and prior experience in a related position.
You will play a key role in the company's success by ensuring the Transport Service runs smoothly and effectively by supervising the timely and safe dispatch and management of all operational crews, patients, and goods. This will entail dispatching the drivers, working with clients, talking to customers, and resolving queries. Although you will occasionally be under pressure, you will be expected to maintain patient flow in all control areas by communicating effectively, resolving important issues quickly, and reacting appropriately to unforeseen circumstances.
This is an office-based role using IT systems to match patients' needs with available resources. You will be controlling the ambulances and crews and ensuring patients get to appointments on time. Proactive problem-solving skills and a drive to ensure efficient delivery and a seamless operation are crucial for this position.
The Main Focus of the role will be:
1. The dispatch and management of the operational crews to ensure timely and efficient collection and delivery of patients between destinations and achieving contractual targets.
2. Check and plan daily and future bookings within the Cleric Controlling system, ensuring resourcing is correct and all sub-contractors, taxi, and volunteers are informed where applicable.
3. Undertake general clerical duties including but not exclusive to checking booking lists, data input, completing ad-hoc forms/invoices as necessary.
4. Deal professionally with telephone calls, taking appropriate action on own initiative where required. Liaison with other agencies such as GP's, Nursing Homes, Hospital Clinics, and Wards.
5. Maintain patient flow across all control areas through effective liaison with colleagues and hospital staff and prompt resolution of urgent problems and appropriate responses to unplanned events.
Shifts & Rota:
1. 4 on 4 off Rota
2. Shifts 6am and 10am starts - on a weekly rotation
What we need from you:
1. Experience in a fast-paced working environment (e.g., call centre) or experience working in a transport controller/admin job.
2. Good organizational skills.
3. Customer Service Experience.
4. Need to declare any previous convictions spent or unspent. We will be running an Enhanced DBS check (Magnus can complete on your behalf).
