Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY is a London based RTW Brand founded by Glaswegian designer Charles Jeffrey. Its visual identity is steeped in Jeffrey’s autobiographical primary research, with fun playful approach. The result is a clash of references both subcultural and traditional, Scottish and pagan, rooted in queer culture & interpreted through an experimental approach to design.

LOVERBOY is seeking a Product Developer (Jersey + Knit) to deliver end to end product development of knitwear, Jersey and knitted accessories. The role is committed to elevating development, maintaining tech-pack and garment standards.
The successful candidate, reporting into Product Director, will join a growing team of 12 people operating across numerous projects. This position would suit a detail orientated organiser – someone with Knitwear technical knowledge and the problem solving mentality to maintain the quality and construction of the product range.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work with design to develop knitwear and Jersey product range, maintaining feedback for design process
· Support growth across hero product in knitted accessories through development innovation
· Develop vendor relationships, negotiating costs whilst considering aesthetics over design integrity
· Compile tech packs, maintain and update changes after each sample stage
· Follow technical measurement spec, with grading and sizing rules for each garment type
· Communicate fit, quality and construction requirements to suppliers through sample comments
· Review and approve SMS and PPS to ensure that product meets brand standards
· Maintain consistency of quality and fit across suppliers and throughout the product range
· Manage PLM (Zedonk) with 100% product accuracy and communicating to relevant parties
· Follow timeline to ensure development through to pre production is delivered in a timely manner
· Work with PD team members, maintaining standards through all product range
· Oversee sample movement for production and update relevant trackers
· Manage shipments of samples and process development invoices through system
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
· 1 to 2 years of experience in a knitwear/jersey role, ideally within the premium contemporary fashion industry
· An understanding of development cycles and critical paths.
· A degree in Fashion or the equivalent combination of education and experience
· A good knowledge of knit construction, finishing and printing techniques, as well as manufacture capabilities
· A working knowledge of yarns, costs and functional aspects for construction
· Experience of working with factories and an understanding of supplier relations, constraints and timeframes
· IT skills: PLM, Excel, InDesign

· Ability to anticipate technical problems and to plan and implement corrective action plan
· Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and the management team
· Proactive, dynamic interpersonal style, able to act between different departments in a diplomatic, non-confrontational manner.

Working hours are 10am-6pm, Monday to Friday, though occasional anti-social hours will be required depending on the nature of the project and around Fashion Weeks. Due to physical nature of the job, office working is required, with flexibility upon discussion.
