Our Client based in Reading is seeking a Parts Advisor.
Job Title: Parts Advisor

Job role:
1. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock audits, ordering parts as needed to meet demand without overstocking or understocking.
2. Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage a team of parts personnel, ensuring that they meet department goals and deliver excellent service to customers and internal departments.
3. Customer Service: Oversee customer service activities, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Handle customer complaints or issues, ensuring satisfaction.
4. Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with parts suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure the timely delivery of parts.
5. Budgeting and Cost Control: Monitor and manage the department's budget, controlling costs and ensuring profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
6. Compliance: Ensure the parts department complies with all safety regulations and company policies.
7. Sales and Marketing Support: Support the sales and service departments by ensuring they have the necessary parts to complete their jobs efficiently.
8. Reporting: Generate regular reports on inventory status, staff performance, customer satisfaction, and departmental efficiency.
9. Administration: Complete relevant documentation including invoices etc. Return warranty and service exchange units regularly. Receive and inspect all packages delivered, resolving any problems. Control VOR/Freight charge costs. Chase Supplier Credits. Any general duties as designated by the Manager.
Job requirements:
1. Current UK Drivers License
2. Proven experience in automotive parts management or a similar supervisory role.
3. Strong understanding of automotive parts, products, and their applications.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
5. Proficiency with inventory management software and general computer systems.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
7. Problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
