About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) with a focus on English as an Additional Language (EAL) to join our team. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children in their learning journey and making a difference in their academic and personal development.
The position is available due to an internal restructuring, and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. The role involves working with small groups and individual students, providing targeted support to enhance their English language skills and boost their overall academic performance. The TA will be an integral part of a supportive team, working closely with teachers to deliver effective interventions.
Application Requirements:
• Have a strong understanding of EAL strategies and best practices.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrate experience or knowledge in supporting Key Stage 2 students, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
• Be patient, adaptable, and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Hold relevant qualifications or experience in education or working with children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to Key Stage 2 students, focusing on enhancing their English language skills.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of tailored interventions and booster sessions.
• Work closely with teachers to track student progress and adapt support strategies as needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
