• support the development and delivery of an appropriate and outstanding curriculum and provision planning
• assess and teach young children who have complex special educational needs
• support the development of the Limes provision with particular reference to the teaching and assessment of young children with ASD/SLCN/PD
• promote and support the achievement of all children through work with officers, agencies, schools, families and children where ASD, SLCN and/or PD is a factor
• participate as a team member in the operation, promotion, evaluation and development of the The Limes Assessment Centre
• be an outstanding practitioner who provides stimulating learning opportunities and enjoys working with young children

Further details about the role
PHPRU Forest Wood provides high quality assessment and teaching of young children with complex special educational needs, including Autism and Speech and Language difficulties, for children in reception and KS1. The Management Committee of PHPRU are seeking to appoint a full time Teacher to join the existing team as soon as possible. The successful candidate will have experience of, and an interest in, working with reception and KS1 children, and be prepared to develop expertise in ASD/SLCN and other SEN. The role will involve planning, delivery and assessment of appropriate learning opportunities (academic, emotional and physical) for complex KS1 children. This is an unique opportunity to gain SEN experience
