We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Interim Financial Controller to a small business for a temporary period of 3-6months. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the business, ensuring financial controls are robust, and providing monthly management information.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, supported by 2 accounts assistants.
* Prepare accurate monthly financial reports.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
* Managecash flow and flagging any issues to management
* Monthly payroll
Key Requirements:
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirablebut considerationwill be given to applicants with commensurate experience.
* Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar role, ideally in an interim or contract capacity.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Proficient in financial systems (Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
Applicants must be able to start at short notice and will be willing to work on site 5 days per week.
