A client within the Public Sector based in Cumbria is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Surveyor to join their Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience working within a local authority in a maintenance and compliance environment. The Role The key purpose of the role is to deliver a high standard of property maintenance services, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while providing excellent customer service. The Maintenance Surveyor will work across Voids and Responsive Repairs or Safety and Compliance functions.Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Conducting property condition surveys and specifying necessary remedial works. Managing void re-servicing to ensure properties meet re-let standards. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements. Overseeing contractors and ensuring work is completed to required standards. Monitoring budgets and challenging costs to ensure value for money. The Candidate To be considered for this role, you will require: A RICS or CIOB accredited Building Surveying degree or equivalent experience. Experience in a property maintenance or surveyor role. Knowledge of building construction, repairs, and safety standards. The below skills would be beneficial for the role: Strong commercial awareness to manage costs effectively. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. The ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks efficiently. The client is looking to move quickly with this role and is offering £30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £25 per hour PAYE).
