Project Engineer (Mechanical/E&I)
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 + bonus and comprehensive benefits

We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join a well-established Engineering firm in Stonehouse. The company in question invests heavily in advanced machinery and strives for excellence. Attention to detail is key with this role along with strong communication and organisational skills.
As Project Engineer, you will:
1. Project manage all aspects of design and production of custom-built packages.
2. Schedule, monitor and control project activities to meet critical deadlines.
3. Liaise directly with clients and suppliers to ensure requirements are understood and met, e.g., regulatory processes, material, and design specifications such as ASME VIII and PD5500, industry electrical and instrumentation standards.
4. Ensure in-house company standards are met and communicated.
5. Work with suppliers and clients to resolve problems and find appropriate solutions while ensuring Roots' interests are protected.
6. Guide and expedite the design team (drawing office) to produce technical drawings that meet project specifications and drive production activities to progress the package build, including technical and operational problem solving.
7. Raise purchase orders for a variety of structural, piping, controls, and instrumentation equipment that meet client and company specifications, and monitor costs against project budget.
8. Support the production department and suppliers with prioritising and scheduling manufacturing, build, and test operations to ensure critical milestones are achieved.
As Project Engineer, you will need a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a can-do approach to tasks. You will be tenacious, curious, resilient, and have a passion for engineering.
