Business Analyst (Contract)
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension)
Location: Dublin/Hybrid (3 days per week on site)
Rate: A highly competitive Day rate is available for suitable candidates
Role Profile
We are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our client's team in the Investment Banking industry. Our client's RDS team provides reference, market, and pricing data to various systems and components in the Prime Brokerage Margin and Risk Technology (PBMRT) space. They are currently undergoing a modernisation and refactoring journey to replace their legacy environment with a suite of high-performance, highly resilient, and fault-tolerant services.
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding business requirements, documenting them in agreement with internal clients, and working with users and team members to identify innovative solutions and implement them. You will collaborate closely with the lead engineer and product owner to design, analyse, and develop key project deliverables.
The successful candidate for this role will have a deep understanding of financial instruments and products, as well as strong analytical thinking skills and knowledge of global corporate investment banking. Confidence and self-assurance are essential, as this role will involve working in a user-facing capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Understand business requirements through driving discussions and workshops.
2. Document requirements in agreement with internal clients within project timescales.
3. Work with users and team members to identify innovative solutions and implement them.
4. Produce functional specifications, use cases, and related documentation.
5. Provide guidance to designers, developers, and users.
6. Ensure effective communication takes place to meet these responsibilities.
Skills & Requirements:
1. Previous experience as a Business Analyst in the investment banking industry.
2. Strong understanding of financial instruments and products.
3. Analytical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
4. Knowledge of global corporate investment banking practices.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
