St Michael's Primary School is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Higher Learning Teaching Assistant to support across the whole school from EYFS to KS2.
Role Overview:
As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, working with class teachers, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting teaching and learning across a range of subjects and year groups.
2. Assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons and resources.
3. Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
4. Providing support for pupils' emotional well-being and personal development.
We are looking for a candidate who:
1. Has a HLTA qualification (Level 4 or equivalent).
2. Has the ability to support pupils with diverse learning needs, including SEND.
3. Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Has a good understanding of child development and behaviour management strategies.
5. Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Has a positive, professional, and proactive attitude towards supporting pupils' learning.
7. Has knowledge of primary school curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
8. Can provide and deliver learning activities to whole classes in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
9. Is committed to raising standards and meeting the needs of individual children.
10. Is positive, enthusiastic and a real team player.
11. Is self-motivated, resilient and able to work using their own initiative.
12. Applicants must hold English and mathematics qualifications, at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent.

Hours of work will be 8.30am until 3.30pm (30mins for lunch) Monday to Friday and for 39 weeks which includes non-pupil days.
