REE is revolutionizing e-Mobility from the ground-up. Our disruptive REE-corners and fully flat, ultra-modular EV platforms are set to become the standard for electric vehicles. Providing complete design freedom to build mission specific EVs, EVs ‘Powered by REE’ will provide maximum room for passengers, cargo and batteries with the smallest footprint and help reduce carbon emissions for a greener world.
We are currently looking for an experienced and well-rounded Project Engineer (contract for 3 month) to support REE’s rapid growth.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the management and delivery of REE braking system components, which meet program-specific targets including functional performance, quality, cost and timing
* Monitor technical targets for integrating design, development, legal and performance criteria.
* Responsible for population and maintenance of brake system component BOM’s in PLM, and associated releasing activities.
* Responsible for DVP&R management of owned braking components
* Technical interface to component suppliers, surrounding systems/aggregates owners.
* Support with build activities and definition of production manufacturing processes.
* Provides support into braking system DFMEA.
* Provides input into mechanical DVP requirements and test rig procedures.
* To provide support to other aggregates in the business to achieve release deadlines.
* Identify opportunities to reduce complexity, cost and weight.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in Engineering, Science or related discipline
* Experience of working in a complex engineering environment
* Have proven experience of developing and delivery of chassis system components from concept to production within an OEM or tier 1 organization. Ideally including foundation brakes, electric park brakes, pipes and hoses.
* Management of technical projects in an automotive or commercial vehicle environment
* Experience of chassis component design beneficial, preferably brake system components.
* Possess good understanding of manufacturing and assembly requirements.
* A good knowledge of rig validation methods and vehicle structural testing is an advantage.
* Have a good all-round engineering knowledge, i.e., material selection, tolerancing, FEA analysis, component manufacturing processes, quality controls, etc.
* Project planning, DFMEA, RCA, DFA, DFM and PPAP knowledge.
* Brake system and components experience desirable, but not mandatory.
* Managing workload in a fast-paced environment with potential for changing priorities.
* Working experience of Microsoft Office products including SharePoint, Excel and Word
* Be a team player with the ability to work alongside talented colleagues as part of a driven and dedicated team
