Operational Quality Improvement Manager - South Yorkshire
Location: Covering 9 Exemplar Health Care homes within the West and South Yorkshire region
Contract type: 40 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday but must be flexible
We are looking for a highly organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment to support our Operations team. The overall objective for the Operational Quality Improvement Managers is to act in a proactive manner to support services to provide and improve the highest standards of care via a systematic, coordinated and coaching approach.
You will be responsible for supporting the Clinical Director to deliver the Exemplar Quality Strategy, which includes:
1. Clinical Excellence
2. Sustainable outstanding quality
3. Digital Transformation
About the role
As an Operational Quality Improvement Manager with Exemplar Health Care, you’ll:
1. Work with the Operational team (Clinical Nurse Managers specifically) to offer support, coach, and be action-focused.
2. Be a link nurse for the company on one of the following specialisms: Nutrition and Hydration, Tissue Viability, or End of life.
3. Follow an improvement strategy per service focusing on compliance and effectiveness of Quality Assurance.
4. Support CNMs to update action plans following an Internal Inspection or any external inspection.
5. Ensure specialist training analysis reviews are conducted monthly and support is given to ensure optimal compliance.
6. Assist with the development of quality policies and procedures, quality tools, audit materials, and Service User information materials.
7. Support the implementation of new initiatives to improve Service User quality of life.
About you
Above all, you’re someone who identifies with our values of fun, integrity, responsiveness, success, and teamwork. You’ll also be:
1. Registered nurse, ideally with a nursing degree.
2. Evidence of further professional development in relation to care, management, or quality.
3. Ideally a coaching qualification, able to coach and motivate others.
4. Strong background in action planning and Service User care focus.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Pragmatic in approach with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Able to work collaboratively across the business.
8. Able to travel to all locations of the business.
