The Role:
As an Optical Engineer, you will design, prototype, and test novel optical components and systems. Working in a collaborative environment, you will partner with internal teams, industry partners, and customers to push the boundaries of optical technology.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and optimise optical components and systems for optical applications.
* Conduct experimental testing of optical designs to ensure they meet performance targets.
* Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and industry partners to develop cutting-edge solutions.
* Contribute to intellectual property development, including patent filings.
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong knowledge of geometrical and ray optics.
* Experience with optical simulation tools such as Ansys Speos, Lumerical, Zemax, or similar.
* Hands-on optical experimentation experience.
* A degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with HMDs, HUDs, or free-space optics.
* Master’s or Ph.D. in Optical Engineering or a related field.
