As New Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for establishing, leading and driving new business growth opportunities across our portfolio. You will play a key role in expanding our customer base by generating high-quality leads and converting them into long-term, profitable business revenue. You will excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and possess a strong "hunter" mentality, thriving in a target-driven atmosphere. With a passion for finding and driving new business development and a proven track record of closing deals, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities include:
Driving the expansion of our product portfolio in the commodity lines sector
Identifying, generating and qualifying leads through targeted outreach and market research - cold calling capability and confidence is critical to this role
Converting leads into long-term, profitable client relationships, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions
Leading all aspects of the sales cycle - initial contact to deal closure, with appropriate account management administration tasks
Developing and maintaining robust pipeline of prospects, ensuring continuous flow of business opportunities
Collaborating with marketing and design department, ensuring literature is up to date and relevant to target market
Developing and implementing strategies to increase market share and business revenue
Collaborating with internal teams, aligning product offerings with client needs and market trends
Collaborating with Operations, Logistics and Procurement teams, ensuring product availability, timely delivery and quality assurance
Reporting and forecasting
Tracking and reporting on business development activities - lead generations, sales performance and market insights via CRM platform
Creating forecasts and sales reports for management to assess business growth and trends
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
Packaging industry knowledge
Knowledge of distributor model within industry
Demonstrable success at lead generation and conversion into new business
Hunger to grow revenue and unlock new opportunities
Entrepreneurial, "Can Do" / "Hunter" mindset
Excellent interpersonal skills
Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a similar relevant field is desirable
Ideally based within a commutable distance to site in the first instance - You must be prepared for regular travel, including overnight stays, to attend customer meetings
