We’re looking for an experienced Learning & Development professional to work with our internal team and our clients to identify future skills and competencies from Director level through to apprentices. This position will suit an individual with full cycle training and analysis background, as well as strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
You’ll be working in a collaborative team but be responsible for your own projects. You’ll be responsible for identifying the roles, skills and competence required for projects in the defence industry.
1. Collaboration and Partnership: Liaise with key Centres of Innovation, industry partners, WF-Hub team members, training providers and awarding bodies, to drive collaboration and approval.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with the Catapult Network, MTC members and non-member organisations, fostering collaboration and securing insights to inform the MTC’s understanding of future skills needs of industry.
3. Workshop Facilitation: Plan and facilitate workshops with key partners, stakeholders, and technology and domain specialists. Lead discussions, gather insights, and articulate workshop outcomes effectively.
4. Project Management: Manage assigned framework projects, ensuring deadlines are met, and work packages are followed up by the designated owners.
5. Documentation: Articulate workshop outputs, write comprehensive reports, and ensure that design briefs are robust and aligned with stakeholder needs.
6. Teamwork and Leadership: Promote teamwork, provide support during challenging times, and celebrate collective successes. Lead by example, demonstrating humility, honesty, and integrity in all interactions.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced Learning & Development professional who’s passionate about future skills development. You’ll have excellent facilitation and presentation skills, both virtual and in person, with experience of designing, implementing, and evaluating workshops/training sessions and similar activities.
You’ll be highly articulate with excellent written and oral communication skills, who can work and collaborate with a diverse range of partners and stakeholders.
You’ll ideally have previous experience in the defence sector and have experience in at least one of the following:
1. IfATE standards
2. UKAS accreditation
3. Sector skills standards
4. Sector/role specific qualifications
We’re also looking for the following skills and experience:

Desirable:
Knowledge of JSP822 – Defence Systems Approach to Training
Previous experience of working in the defence sector.
