We are seeking an experienced welder who displays well-rounded skills in both welding and fabrication. The responsibilities include operating fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punches that cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures.
As a welder, you will lay out, fit, and weld fabricated and cast components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, furnace shells, and building and bridge parts, according to blueprints and knowledge of welding and metallurgy. You may work either in the shop or in the field, as assigned.
Qualifications
1. 1 to 2 years experience in the trade.
2. Must understand geometry and be able to visualize flat drawings, pictures, and blueprints as solid objects with height, width, and depth.
3. Possess the ability to rate information using measurable standards.
4. Ability to see detail in objects and recognize slight variations in shapes or shadings.
5. Must have a current PA Driver's license.
6. Must have a high school diploma or GED.
