Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the award-winning North Devon AOS team. The post holder will work closely alongside the lead immunotherapy CNS to deliver a first-class service to cancer patients receiving novel immunotherapy treatments. The role involves the care and management of the disease and side effects of this group of patients. You will develop your clinical skills, knowledge, and experience in the varied and diverse arena of acute cancer care.
The role will sit within the acute oncology service, where you will gain valuable insight, knowledge, and experience in managing emergency cancer patients. The post holder will work within this very specialist team managing the care and treatment of all cancer patients receiving systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT). This service is delivered across 7 days, so weekend/bank holiday working may be required.

Are you passionate about cancer care? Do you have an interest in supporting cancer patients who experience complications with their systemic anti-cancer treatment or disease?
If yes, then this could be the role for you.
The role is based within the award-winning acute oncology service in North Devon, reporting to the lead immunotherapy nurse, offering specialist advice and management of complications of treatment or disease for cancer patients and the wider multidisciplinary team. You will develop key clinical skills including physical assessment and non-medical prescribing. The role includes developing the immunotherapy service and providing training and education for the wider medical team.
Consideration will be given for applicants as a Band 6 development post.
Working Pattern: 8am to 6pm, 7 days a week, including Bank Holidays
