About the role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support students in their academic and personal development, helping them build confidence and independence. This role is perfect for someone who is committed to making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs, providing them with the support they need to thrive in a school environment. Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Assist in implementing individual learning plans to support students' progress. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Support students with social, emotional, and communication needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students. Help manage classroom behaviour and engagement. SEN TA Requirements: Experience working with children with SEN as an SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable. Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or a related degree are advantageous. A degree in psychology, education, or something similar. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students. Good communication and teamwork skills.
