Your New Position
As a Transport Driver Section Leader, you will play a pivotal role within the Transport Department, ensuring total compliance with all legal and company standards. You will collaborate closely with the Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) to ensure all vehicles are regularly downloaded as per requirements. Regular communication with the planning and operations sections is essential to schedule drivers for training, infringement coaching, and assessments without disrupting operations.
Requirements for Success
1. Conduct new driver assessments to ensure competency.
2. Perform licence checks on all new drivers before they start and periodically on all permanent and Temp to Perm agency staff.
3. Conduct full inductions for all new drivers, both permanent and agency.
4. Provide training on Web fleet and CYRUS in-cab devices.
5. Facilitate periodic on-site Driver CPC Courses.
6. Train yard operatives in safe strapping/unstrapping of loaded trailers and daily yard checks.
7. Ensure all drivers' Digi Cards and vehicles are downloaded in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
8. Use Smart Analysis to print, analyse, and annotate driving infringements and conduct relevant coaching with each driver.
9. Monitor driver hours via Web fleet to ensure compliance with the Working Time Directive.
10. Investigate any missing mileage identified from vehicle downloads and follow up with the respective driver.
11. Conduct investigations into any Vehicle RTAs by downloading footage from the 360 camera system and interviewing involved drivers.
12. Complete all accident and incident investigation forms for submission to the insurance company.
