Business Relationship Manager

As a Barclays Business Relationship Manager, you will work as a collective to assist a broad portfolio of customers, acting and leading as a trusted partner to their business. This is an exciting opportunity to be accountable for increasing appeal to our business clients, through focused relationship management propositions, providing financial solutions to your customers to help them grow as well as connecting them to the expertise they search for. There will be a requirement to build deeper knowledge across industries as needed.

What will you be doing?
• Ensuring clients have access to the right expertise at key points in their business life cycle
• Determining and delivering on opportunities to make a lasting and meaningful contribution to their business and personal
• Taking an interest in our customers’ business, identifying their needs and providing solutions to enable their business to grow
• Building and developing deep relationships with customers, becoming trusted contacts for their banking needs
• Developing and maintaining relevant skills, knowledge and accreditations to meet specific client’s requirements in your market
• Anticipating proactively the customer needs, delivering outcomes that exceed the customers’ expectations, whilst balancing the needs of the bank
• Providing lending solutions of up to £1,000,000 and for establishing a network of key business introducers in local market
• Networking to meet new contacts and develop new leads to grow business
What we’re looking for:
• Experience of managing face to face relationships with clients
• Demonstrable experience of business development
• Excellent knowledge of the SME market
• Clear understanding of credit writing and analysis
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Accredited in Lending or a professional related qualification
• Excellent ability to build and foster new relationships at a senior level
• Risk management experience

You will be based in one of our Branches which are the heart of Barclays. Branches are changing both in the way they look and the way our colleagues work in them. We aim to have someone on hand to help our customers with their banking needs from the moment they walk in, creating an exquisite customer experience, face to face, while using technology to create the quickest, most seamless experience for them.
