Accountabilities As a Caretaker at Castlepoint Borough Council, you will be responsible for, but not limited to: Maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the Council Offices by; Cleaning surfaces Hoovering floors Emptying rubbish bin Minor repairs and maintenance to the building, equipment and surroundings. Moving office furniture such as chairs, desks and computers Key-Holder responsibilities The operation of the intruder alarm systems and general security of the building. Acting as standby keyholder on an alternating basis, and responding to call outs from the intruder alarm company. Dealing with postal deliveries and collection, including mail sorting. Occasional deliveries to other offices within the Borough. Acting as liaison officer and monitoring officer on behalf of the Facilities Manager with the cleaners and/or cleaning contractors. Training provided for career advancement The Experience You Will Bring Full UK driving licence with access to vehicle Previous security/key-holder experience desirable Physically fit Local to Council Offices Working Pattern The caretaker position will operate for 2 days a week (Thursday & Friday) on an alternating shift basis 6:00am to 2:00 pm / 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Thursday, and 6:00 am to 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm to 9:30 pm on Friday.
