Are you an experienced Financial Controller looking for a new role that combines financial leadership with strategic support? We are recruiting on behalf of an SME organisation to oversee financial operations across multiple ventures.
You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate management and statutory reporting. This is an all-encompassing role for a hands-on FC who is equally happy taking responsibility for payroll and all HR matters.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the company’s five-year strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading and managing a team of two
* Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end reports
* Manage day-to-day cash flow
* Purchase ledger function including invoice entry, reconciliations, supplier queries and payments
* Monitor company credit card expenditure
* Monthly payroll
* VAT returns
* Support the Managing Director in driving and reporting on the company’s strategic business plan
* Handle HR matters in collaboration with external advisors
Key Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in financial control and management accounting
* Experience managing a small finance team
* Ability to work closely with senior management and external consultants
