Location: Home based / Huntingdon: Your office base will be Huntingdon and you would be expected to attend the office 1 or 2 days a week

Supporting exciting new business opportunities over the next five year growth period, we are seeking to recruit a Sales Account Manager to our solutions brand, www.digdat.co.uk.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with customers and overseeing sales. Create sustainable and organic sales growth by generating new sales using existing and potential customer networks. Key Responsibilities
1. Split between homeworking and our office in Huntingdon, the Sales Account Manager will be responsible for growing our client base and developing future business.
Account Management and Client Retention
1. To generate sales among client accounts, including upselling and cross-selling where appropriate.
2. To operate as the key point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring requested services are received in a timely fashion.
3. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts as well identifying new opportunities to grow the business.
4. Manage projects within client relationships, working to carry out client goals while meeting company requirements.
5. Service multiple clients concurrently, meeting deadlines and ensuring client needs are communicated to the business.
New Business generation
1. Own, grow and deliver the Sales pipeline.
2. Raise the company profile by attending exhibitions / seminars / user group meetings.
Business Development support
1. Part of the Business Strategy & Product team reporting to Head of Digdat and involved in all aspects of business strategy, planning and delivery.
2. Development and delivery of the Digdat Sales Plan.
3. Communicate Digdat Sales Plan in line with overall business planning governance.
What it takes to be successful?
If you have knowledge or experience selling any of the below -
1. Experience of selling to utilities and construction industries?
2. Knowledge of Software as a Services (SaaS)
3. GIS systems
4. Mapping services
5. Comms services
What’s important
You will need to be self-motivated, adaptable and proactive. The role will require you to work alongside the Head of Digdat and our Product Owners to further develop our service offering and market opportunities.
Proven work experience as a Sales Account Manager or Sales Account Executive.
Experience in customer relationship management or similar having built strong customer relationships to Senior Management level.
Experience of operating in a commercial environment with some track record in commercial negotiations and tender bidding.
Experience of influencing the development and delivery of new and existing products/services.
