We are seeking an experienced fleet or heavy truck technician to add to our fast-growing, well-equipped Truck/Fleet Shop. At Jordan Ford, you will receive the benefits of factory OEM training and support, and a top-notch heavy truck experienced parts department, all while working on the heavy truck and diesel vehicles you love.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area.
2. Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
3. Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
4. Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
5. Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
6. Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
7. Notify service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required.
8. Notify service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
9. Document work performed.
10. Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.
11. Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
12. Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
13. Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
14. Ensure that customers’ cars are kept clean.
15. Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
16. Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
17. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
1. High school diploma or the equivalent.
2. Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
3. All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
4. Must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.
