Senior Planner – UK Leading Housebuilder 12 Month FTC Salary up to £75k DOE Location: Kent About the Company: My client have been established as a housebuilder for over 60 years and currently have regional office bases throughout the UK. They are recognised as the highest quality major national housebuilder, having been awarded an exclusive ‘5 Star Housebuilder Award’ by the Homebuilders Federation. Projects to date range vastly in terms of specification and construction technique dependant on the location of the regional office. Major projects include multi-unit RC frame structures in Central London as well as town and village regeneration and low rise traditional build housing. About the role: Conduct site assessments, review planning histories, analyse policies, and evaluate materials for both immediate and strategic sites to maintain a strong relationship with the Land team and safeguard the company’s interests. Manage various types of planning applications, including Outline, Full, and Reserved Matters, ensuring accurate submission of planning conditions to enable ongoing site development in the region. Communicate and coordinate with internal designers, external consultants, and Local Planning Authority officers before, during, and after application submissions to build effective working relationships. Create Design & Access Statements and other necessary planning documents in a timely manner to support applications and secure favourable planning approvals. Gather supporting information and participate in stakeholder and public consultation events with professionalism to foster public trust. Develop planning strategies for medium and long-term site promotion through the planning process under the Planning Director's guidance to maintain a flow of new sites in the region. Occasionally assist the Manager with important business decisions and attend regular regional meetings as a subject expert.
