An exceptional opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant to take their “first-step” to Financial Controller level…Joining a supremely successful tech Group based near Manchester Airport, working in partnership with a skilled Finance Director as his trusted No.2 as the business embarks upon an exciting phase of growth and development.
The Group is forecasting a 30% increase in turnover over the next 3 years and with plans to break into international markets and take their software global, you’ll will be instrumental and critical in this journey.
The plan:
To achieve their forecasted growth, they are expanding the finance team and upgrading all tech / software to be scalable over the next 3year period. You will work alongside the Finance Director in the selection, migration and integration of a new accounting package, moving the business from Sage 50 onto a cloud-base platform. There’s a couple of options for the new package, and you will be involved in the final selection.
Your role:
Right now, you’re joining a newly created position. Your role will be to manage the existing finance team and oversee the day-to-day running of the accounts functions. You’ll mentor and develop the team, look at existing procedures and suggest improvements and close month-end with full variance analysis and commentary on the management accounts. You’ll liaise with external auditors, support the FD in strategic projects and operate on both a operational and commercial level.
The future :
There’s a succession plan in place to ensure your onwards development in the Group. The Finance Director will be moving up to CFO in the next 2-3years which leaves his role available for you to take-on, at which point the business will have hit their the projected growth and overseas expansion…Making you the Finance Director of a global tech operation.
Your profile:
The Finance Director is looking for a committed team leader, so experience with managing and mentoring staff is essential for the role, at least 1year of people-management exposure. Experience in producing full sets of MAs with full analysis and commentary is also essential.
You’ll need to be someone who champions personal development.
