About your role You are responsible for the strategic oversight of Combined and Magistrates Courts, supporting your Cluster Manager to meet operational needs and deliver cluster performance objectives. You will be at the forefront of organisational change, making a real difference in how service is delivered, working in a supportive environment with a focus on continuous improvement. Leading a team of Delivery Managers to provide a consistent and customer-focused service, youll drive a collaborative culture across the cluster, ensure effective deployment of resources and manage an allocated budget to control delegated expenditure, ensuring efficiencies are made. About you Youre a resilient and positive leader who thrives on delivering effective and efficient services and enjoys working with a variety of stakeholders. You lead by example, coaching and developing your team in setting local priorities and objectives to achieve National/Regional and Area strategies and plans. Youre able to work collaboratively with other Operations Managers in the cluster to manage conflicting demands on the business and able to reprioritise local and regional goals where required. Skills and Experience · Proven experience in a senior operations or management role, preferably within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. · Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading teams through change. · Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to maintain relationships at all levels. · Experience in budget management and resource allocation. Further details: These operational roles are customer facing, requiring successful applicants to be office based to provide HMCTS services to the public. Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment. All applications for part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns will be considered in accordance with the MoJs Flexible Working policy. Fixed term appointments (FTA) on promotion MoJ employees may apply for FTA opportunities in MoJ that are advertised at a higher grade than their current substantive grade. Where an employee accepts an FTA on promotion, this promotion will be temporary, and the employee will revert to their substantive grade upon return to their home business area, as per the loan policy for OGD loans. Before applying, employees must seek approval from their line managers to ensure they can be released for the duration of the FTA and can return to their substantive role at the end. If there is no role available at the end of the FTA, the employee will be subject to redeployment and potentially redundancy procedures. Loans/Detached Duty The terms of the loan or detached duty will be agreed between the home and host department and the Civil Servant (candidate). This includes grade on return. Prior agreement to be released on a loan or detached duty basis should be obtained before commencing the application process. Occasional travel to other courts For this post, occasional travel will be required when needed. Full time only role. The successful candidate will be required to travel to other sites within the region as and when business needs dictate. This role will cover both Swindon Combined and Swindon Magistrates Court.
