We are seeking a Teaching and Learning Assistant to work within a primary school in the High Wycombe area. In this role, you will be required to support pupils with their learning. This role is full-time, Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 4pm.
You do not need previous experience within a school setting as a Teaching and Learning Assistant, but you will have had previous experience with children in some capacity and must have a general understanding of what is required of you as a Teaching and Learning Assistant!
The Role:
1. Support pupils with their learning in a school setting.
2. Work inside and outside the classroom with SEND pupils in 1:1 or small group settings.
3. Collaborate with the class teacher to create fun and engaging lessons for students.
4. Adapt your approach to learning based on the pupils' needs.
5. Contribute towards a safe and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements:
1. Available for an immediate start.
2. Excellent communication and active listening skills to motivate pupils to learn.
3. Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
4. Flexibility and openness to change when working on different activities.
5. A bubbly personality to connect with children on a personal level.
