Job Overview Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract or Secondment Opportunity for 1 year. By working collaboratively with 8A colleagues and the Principal Pharmacist for Urgent and Emergency Care the post holder will be responsible for the efficient, effective provision of the pharmacy service within the Emergency Zone primarily on Acute Medical Units (AMU). By overseeing training and development of pharmacy colleagues, the post holder will assist the development of the multidisciplinary ward based pharmacy service. Service development will also be facilitated by attendance at AMU governance meetings, and by reviewing, updating, and writing clinical guidelines and policies relevant to the specialty area. The successful candidate will need excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and conscientious, and integrate well into a team working environment, supporting their colleagues. Having comprehensive clinical knowledge and experience is essential, as well as recognising you will be working in a high paced clinical area.
