P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join their team based in Aberdeen on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is office based.
Role Summary:
Responsible for identifying, managing, and closing opportunities globally. Demonstrate all the behaviours associated with a high-performance sales culture, specifically, prospecting for new business, identifying opportunities to provide the company solutions, and delivering results. You should be passionate about the Sales process, have an existing global network in one or more of the following: P&A/Decom, Well Integrity / Intervention / Trees/Wellheads and be comfortable providing technical information, advice, and supporting evidence to all levels of stakeholder across existing and new clients.
Main Responsibilities:
• Continually build pipeline of new business, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
• Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and existing customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
• Passionate about excellent client service.
• Become an expert on company products and conduct introductory calls and presentations with prospects and customers.
• Demonstrate and sell value to key stakeholders within the accounts during complex engineering sales cycles.
• Proactively develop and manage relationships with prospects and accounts globally.
• Work in a team-selling environment specifically building relationships with Sales, Operations and Engineering counterparts.
• Prepare tenders, proposals and quotations.
• Ensure sales targets are met - exceeding activity, pipeline, and revenue goals on a regular basis.
• Create a sales pipeline with CRM system and track/maintain through the sales cycle in CRM system.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to clients.
• Negotiate contracts and terms and conditions.
• Gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements.
• Review cost and sales performance.
• Prepare weekly sales update report.
• Provide product education and advice.
• Provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Be able to think critically and suggest improvements that might lead to cost savings or other client benefits.
• Be willing to travel nationally and internationally to visit new and existing clients on a regular basis.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Participate in forecasting of revenues and profits in accordance with prescribed guidelines and ensure
• effective teamwork to meet or exceed targets.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Demonstrable technical sales experience; preferably in well integrity, intervention and/or decom.
• Knowledge of surface wellhead equipment and associated standards.
• Understanding and knowledge of common Slickline, Wireline and/or Coiled Tubing well intervention operations and tooling.
• Understanding and knowledge of pressure control equipment (PCE).
• Existing global network of clients in oil and gas operators and service companies.
• Must be able to anticipate customer needs and be a key player in developing relationships.
• Must have a clear customer focus and be able to understand the variety of stakeholders and cultures in different areas of the business - and respond to them accordingly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good decision making and negotiation skills.
Working Hours:
• Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
