Joining a leading manufacturer in their sector, dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services. We are seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to drive strategic sourcing initiatives that align with our operational objectives and business policies.
Reporting directly to the Ops Director, the Procurement Lead will oversee assigned strategic sourcing activities, managing the full procurement lifecycle from project inception through supplier performance management. This role will work closely with key business stakeholders at both local and group levels, ensuring alignment with broader operational objectives and policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in end-to-end sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
Procurement Lead Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Selection: Lead assigned sourcing activities from project inception through supplier selection, focusing on value-driven decisions that support operational objectives.
2. End-to-End Procurement Management: Oversee the sourcing process from tendering and contract negotiation to implementation and supplier performance management.
3. Contract Negotiation & Execution: Develop and negotiate contracts that align with business requirements, ensuring compliance with policy standards and fostering beneficial terms.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with local and group-level stakeholders to align procurement strategies with operational goals and ensure compliance with business policies.
5. Supplier Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, implementing improvement strategies and ensuring adherence to contract terms.
6. Risk Mitigation: Identify potential supply risks and develop contingency plans to secure continuous supply and mitigate any disruptions.
7. Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyse procurement data and provide insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
Procurement Lead Experience and Qualifications:
1. Supply Chain Management, CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent qualification is preferred.
2. Demonstrable experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with a proven track record in end-to-end procurement within a large organisation.
3. Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
4. Excellent communication and relationship management skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
5. Ability to work independently and lead multiple sourcing projects concurrently.
