Who We Are
Super 8 Restaurants is a collective of some of London’s most celebrated independent dining spots. Our story began with a tiny yet vibrant Thai barbecue bar on Denmark Street in 2014, and we’ve never looked back. Since then, we’ve:
* Had Kiln named the UK’s No.1 restaurant at the National Restaurant Awards
* Seen Brat earn one of the fastest Michelin Stars in the UK
* Launched Mountain, which entered the World’s 50 Best list in its first year
Through it all, our guiding principles have remained steadfast: create restaurants that champion exceptionally sourced produce, foster a joyful atmosphere, make everyone feel genuinely looked after, and treat each other with respect.
We pride ourselves on our creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit. From cultivating farming partnerships in Cornwall and building a dedicated sourcing team for our ingredients to hosting extraordinary events with chefs from Thailand, San Sebastián, and Italy—plus taking our team on wine harvests—we believe in doing things differently to push the boundaries of what a restaurant can be.
Our People
At Super 8, people development is our backbone. We’ve nurtured Kitchen Porters into Restaurant Managers, turned CDPs into Head Chefs, and seen GMs become Co-Owners. We invest in helping our team grow, because we know our success is rooted in our people.
The Role
A rare opportunity has arisen to join Super 8 at a senior level, shaping our next decade of success. We’re looking for General Managers and Assistant Managers ready to bring their creativity, commercial savvy, and leadership expertise to our expanding group. You’ll receive every support and development opportunity needed to thrive in this dynamic environment.
What We’re Looking For
* Significant experience in a General Manager or Assistant Manager role at a high-volume London/city restaurant.
* A proven track record in recruiting, retaining, and developing a large, engaged team.
* A calm, collected approach to running busy services, with a sharp eye for detail, unshakable standards, and a commitment to team culture.
* Confidence in leading a diverse senior team and working closely with stakeholders and directors.
* Strong financial acumen, including experience managing GP, margins, daily/weekly financials, and comprehensive health and safety responsibilities.
* A background in successfully building, developing, and leading a team to open a new restaurant.
