As a temporary People Operations Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping shape their People & Culture strategy, ensuring they continue to provide outstanding support and remain a leader in their field. Day-to-day Responsibilities: Serve as the initial point of contact for enquiries from colleagues and managers across both charities, ensuring a high standard of customer service throughout the colleague lifecycle. Prepare and issue precise and timely communications regarding contractual or other changes, ensuring all relevant updates to colleague records are made. Offer early advice and support on operational activities, ensuring the delivery of a highly efficient and effective customer-focused service. Collaborate on activities within the People Team and across teams to enhance the colleague experience and maintain high professional standards. Implement activities outlined in the workplans for People Operations, ensuring effective and efficient operations with a customer-centred focus. Identify and advance process efficiencies and promote self-service solutions that meet our customers’ needs. Work with recruiting managers to coordinate all recruitment and attraction activities, ensuring a positive candidate experience and compliance with our policies and legal obligations. Collaborate with the Payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience at a similar level with responsibility for coordinating and delivering activities across the colleague lifecycle. Strong knowledge and understanding of HR practices, ideally demonstrated through a professional qualification (e.g., CIPD) or relevant experience. Experience delivering services for distinct communities such as employees, volunteers, workers, and contractors. Proven ability to deliver high-quality work in a demanding customer-facing environment, with evidence of managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Ability to build effective and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels, as well as external stakeholders. A keen interest in issues affecting our charities' work and the ability to identify opportunities for collaborative working to develop and improve our People Operations activities.
