An exciting opportunity has come up for a Control Room Operator who will report to the Head of Customer Services. The successful candidate will provide overall operations and monitoring of the company CCTV systems as part of Safer Group’s commitment to customer and public safety. You will perform all system and or other checks as required to help detect and deter crime and anti-social behaviour, escalating issues to the Control Room Supervisor and or Head of Customer Services. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Use the CCTV equipment proactively and to its optimum level to detect and deter crime and anti-social behaviour, identifying offenders and provide high quality evidence to enable investigations and where necessary prosecutions Operate the CCTV system in accordance with UK legislation and Code of Practice Ensure all logs, reports and records are produced accurately and promptly where required Respond to all out of hours emergencies Key Skills & Experience: Customer care/ call handling Experience in working in a busy, operationally focused workplace Experience in the operation of CCTV surveillance systems (for example Sentinel) is desirable but not essential Good understanding of Data Protection Ability to work on own initiative Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent concentration skills and ability to notice and record detail Qualifications: SIA Licence is preferred In return we offer: A competitive salary 288 Hours Annual Leave (includes public/bank holidays), Death in Service Scheme (5 x basic salary) Employee Assistant Programme Access to a Private Health Care Scheme (Benefit in Kind) An engaging office environment An ambitious team to work with Please Note – The successful candidate will be required to go through our security screening process to the relevant BS7858 standard, which must be completed within 12 weeks of the start date.
