We are looking for a Teledermatology Coordinator to join our exciting teledermatology pathway in the Department of Dermatology.
Our teledermatology pathway is a new scheme where we aim for all patients referred on a suspected cancer pathway to have their photo taken and triaged by an experienced dermatology clinician within seven days. This role will be an integral part of this pathway, using bespoke software to identify which patients need to be seen, while working alongside our Dermatology MDT team. Excellent customer service is a must, as you will be speaking to patients daily who are part of this pathway.
You will be able to help shape the project and suggest any improvements to the pathway. You will receive full support in the training for this new role and will be assisted every step of the way.
You will be expected to:
1. Schedule appointments and assign new patients to clinics, escalating when capacity is limited.
2. Communicate effectively with patients, managers, and doctors on a daily basis.
3. Be responsible for the line management of two Dermatology Waiting List Coordinators and a Skin Cancer Support Worker. Line management experience is preferred.
To understand the role in more detail, please read the attached job description and person specification.
Thank you for your interest in this role.
