Overseeing Grazia’s smart, unique, must-read celebrity news content across print, digital and Apple News.
Main Responsibilities:
* Present the daily digital News list in conference with a focus on stories that will drive search traffic and engagement on Facebook, as well as thoughtful takes for Instagram.
* Briefing, editing and writing online stories, to ensure they are in the Grazia tone, legally sound and SEO optimized, with strong headlines that encourage click-through on social.
* Owning Grazia’s Apple News+ output, managing the content schedule and budget, monitoring engagement and presenting stats to the wider team, ensuring we hit ambitious monthly revenue targets.
* Commissioning, editing and writing bespoke long-form celebrity content for Apple News, and coordinating with the Features team on first-person and sex/relationship content.
* Pitch, write and commission celebrity news stories for print for the 10 Hot section that will deliver compelling coverlines.
* Liaise with our LA based stringer for sourcing for print and Apple News.
* Manage the Writer and help develop their output.
What you'll bring:
* An innate understanding of the Grazia brand, a strong news sense, and a knowledge of which celebrities resonate with our audience across different platforms.
* The confidence and organizational skills to take ownership of an editorial section.
* Experience in shaping and pitching a reactive news list.
* A 360-degree approach to content and how it can be adapted to deliver on multiple platforms.
