Key Responsibilities: Perform high-quality refurbishment and repair work on customer jobs, adhering to Health & Safety standards and best practices. Conduct fault finding, diagnosis, and reverse engineering to ensure efficient solutions for completing jobs. Carry out thorough checks on equipment/machinery used in the workshop and report any faults or issues. Contribute to the development and improvement of standard test and repair procedures. Collaborate with the team to meet and exceed customer expectations, supporting other members with expertise and knowledge. Take part in investigations and share professional electrical/electronic/mechanical engineering insights. Actively engage in improving performance and ensuring the smooth functioning of the workshop. Health & Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, contributing to a culture of proactive safety awareness. Follow and contribute to risk assessments, ensuring full compliance with safe systems of work Maintain a clean and safe workspace, contributing to housekeeping standards and improving workplace safety. Skills & Competencies: Experience in torque tightening, mechanical fixings assembly, and crimping (large and small connections). Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to handle conflicting priorities and make business decisions based on customer demand. A solid understanding of engineering drawings and numeracy skills. Previous experience in electrical repairs or working within an electronics workshop environment. Preferred Qualifications: School leaver with a minimum of electrical/electronic/engineering craft level 3 ONC/NVQ (or equivalent).
