About the Role:
Themis Recruit are seeking a talented Associate to join our clients leading Private Client team, which is renowned for its expertise on a global scale. In this role, you will advise both UK and international clients on all aspects of succession and tax planning, helping them to manage and protect their assets. As an Associate, you will play an integral part in this highly regarded team, working on a diverse range of matters with substantial responsibility and the opportunity for career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide practical, commercial, and clear legal advice to clients, ensuring that advice is concise and easily understood.
* Efficiently manage a varied and demanding caseload, with appropriate supervision based on your experience level.
* Draft complex documents with minimal instruction, using relevant precedents to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
* Take a commercial approach to legal research, ensuring advice is based on relevant and accurate information.
* Where appropriate, delegate tasks to junior team members, ensuring the quality of work is maintained, and supervise their development.
* Actively engage in client marketing opportunities, including seminars, presentations, and pitches.
* Recognise new opportunities for clients and proactively follow through on those opportunities.
* Contribute to the firm’s knowledge management initiatives and share expertise across the team.
* Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations, including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations, and Principles.
Requirements
* Qualified England and Wales lawyer with 3-4 years’ PQE.
* Strong knowledge and experience in domestic and international succession and tax planning.
* STEP qualification is an advantage, but not essential.
* A high level of legal and commercial judgement, with the ability to understand and address the specific needs of clients.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload and handle matters with a hands-on approach.
* Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
* Flexible and willing to take on a wide range of tasks as needed.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while also being an effective team player.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and maintain a positive rapport with clients.
