We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Design Technology Technician to join our team, ensuring outstanding outcomes for all students within the school community.
The school operates 3 days per week, with hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and this position is available for an immediate start.

When you work in this school your responsibilities will include:
8. Ability to support practical workshop sessions with supervision, practical instruction, and demonstrations
9. To clean and sharpen hand tools and maintain the good order and organisation of the workshop and its storage facilities
10. To carry out first line servicing of machines and equipment in Design Technology, to ensure safety and reliability
11. To prepare display materials and equipment for parents' evenings; remove and display items of work around the school, as and when requested
12. The ability to skilfully use a range of tools, equipment, and machinery
13. Provide support for or to run extra curricular clubs and trips in Design Technology
14. To manufacture storage equipment as and when requested
15. To undertake other design technology tasks as requested by staff
These are some of the requirements that we need from you :
16. Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
17. 2 recent professional references
18. Previous experience of maintaining and adjusting a range of machinery and recording of checks
19. The drive and enthusiasm to engage and inspire pupils
20. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
21. Proactive problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach
22. Right to work in the UK (Essential)
23. Good experience of technician support in a school environment
24. Clear understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
