## Company:\n\nFinning (UK) Ltd\n\n## Number of Openings:\n\n1\n\n## Worker Type:\n\nPermanent\n\n## Position Overview:\n\nAs a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will work in conjunction with the\ncontroller, to maximise the operational availability of equipment for the\ncustomer through timely and efficient routine and preventative maintenance\nservicing and machine inspections. Identifying possible issue’s which may\nimpact availability as well as being tasked with carrying out minor repairs as\nrequested. During this role you will be an ambassador for safety, by servicing\nthe products in a manner which promotes safety for self and customer.

For this position it is essential that all drivers have held a full driving licence for 2 years.
(Eligibility will be subject to a full DVLA licence check)\n\n*Working Hours - 43hrs per week (flexi start and finish times). Working pattern Tuesday -Saturday\n\nSpecific Skills\n\nThe job requires a basic knowledge of the four main product elements (Engines,\nHydraulics, Powertrain, and Vehicle ElectricsElectronics) relating to\nservicing and repair of heavy mobile plant (or similar e.g Heavy Goods\nVehicle)\n\nAccountability\n\nTo attend customer locations as advised by controller, to carry out preventive\nmaintenance servicing. To liaise with service controller and customer both at\nthe outset and as work progresses.
To ensure that all work is carried out to\nhigh standards and that equipment is safe before handing back to customer.\nEnsure equipment is serviced in line with manufacturers recommendations and\nthat all associated paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner\nincluding recording customer signatures. Take proper care of company vehicle\nand equipment.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nEither direct experience (around 3 years) or working in a related engineering\nfunction, e.g. car mechanic, HGV fitter, former REME or experience on military\nvehicles such as recovery mechanic or a formal apprenticeship qualification\nthat includes at least C level 1, formal training in health & Safety\ndesirable but not essential as further training will be given.\n\nThis position is a great opportunity for engineers with transferable skills\nlooking to get into the plant industry.
